Heatwave
 Heatwave Video owner Gabor Esterhazy told AVN.com that consumers would begin to notice significant changes in the company's line of products beginning this month. Esterhazy said he has made key improvements in production, marketing and sales during recent weeks as Heatwave Video revamps its image. The 15-year industry veteran has hired new directors, green-lighted a handful of new series and turned his focus to hard-edged content. Heatwave's videos now will include more anal, d.p.'s and A2M, more scenes and have running times up to 140 minutes. Esterhazy told AVN.com he refuses to allow Heatwave to be a "mediocre" company that is just part of the "I want to be up there. I want to be one of the best," Esterhazy, who founded Heatwave 12 years ago, said Friday. "Change is always good.  Silvio Bandinelli is well known in Italy and his popularity goes beyond the narrow confines of porn. Press and television have often employed him, as his films speak of current political and social issues never seen before in the porn scene. Before starting this work Silvio Bandinelli was responsible for directing commercials and documentaries. In 1996 he partnered with Monica Timperi to found the company Showtime Production and Distribution. This label immediately impacted the market and quickly gained a position of undisputed leadership.
Films directed by Bandinelli, his own productions, are distributed throughout Europe with many of the most prestigious distributors (IFG Spain, Colmax France, Magma Germany etc). The great success of Showtime is mainly due to the high quality products, the fine editing of the movies, and also the originality of some issues discussed without censorship (including sexual abuse and incest, though US laws restrict what can be shown on the Internet). Over the past few years, Showtime added the label Pig Italy, directed by Silvio Bandinelli and Andy Casanova, a cult director in Italy who specializes in films about the family and enlightens the audience about the commonality of violence against women. Stampa e televisione si sono spesso occupati di lui poichè i suoi film parlano dell'attualità politica e sociale,affrontano temi scabrosi e scottanti come mai era stato fatto nel cinema porno. Prima di svolgere questa attività si occupava di regia di spot pubblicitari e documentari. Con questo back-ground fonda nel 1996 con Monica Timperi, la Showtime casa di produzione e distribuzione. La label di Silvio Bandinelli e Monica Timperi si impone immediatamente sul mercato fino a conquistare una indiscussa posizione di leadership. I film diretti da Bandinelli, o da lui prodotti, vengono distribuiti in tutta Europa con le più prestigiose distribuzioni (IFG in Spagna, Colmax in Francia, Magma in Germania etc). Il grande successo ottenuto da Showtime è dovuto principalmente all'alta qualità delle produzioni, al taglio cinematografico delle regie di Bandinelli, ed anche all'originalità di alcuni temi trattati senza censura (incesti, abusi sessuali etc). Alla label Showtime si è affiancata da qualche anno l'etichetta Pig Italia, diretta da Silvio Bandinelli e Andy Casanova, regista di culto in Italia, specializzato in film la cui trama si svolge nell'ambito della famiglia e in quelli che mettono in scena le violenze sulle donne. |
